Lawrence H. Kuzmin

Larry Kuzmin is a traditional Chester County watercolor artist with a somewhat non-traditional background. He graduated with a degree in Art Education from Edinboro State University in 1964. Larry taught art in Painesville, Ohio in 1965 and then in Hickory Township, now Hermitage, Pennsylvania until 1968 when he quit teaching and became an FBI Special Agent. Larry worked as a Special Agent in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, Detroit and Flint, Michigan until 1970 when injuries from a head-on collision with a drunk driver curtailed his career.

Larry returned to teaching when he was hired by the Great Valley School District in Malvern, PA. He taught art in Great Valley from 1970 to 1997, and also became a successful watercolor artist at the same time, completing over 1,400 paintings. After retiring from Great Valley, Larry returned to investigation work as an FBI Special Investigator doing background investigations for the Bureau and two other Federal Agencies. He retired again in 2016 when he moved with his wife to West Grove, Pennsylvania.
